Contact a provider in your area listed on this website and ask for an express appointment as soon as your schedule permits. They have been trained to evaluate you for SmartByte and do the mold of your palate The process takes about 20 minutes. You will receive your SmartByte in about 10 days along with the protective case and Blue Tooth reader to upload your personal sensor data to your Smart phone. Scientific Intake customer service will be let you knowwhen your SmartByte ships and can help with with the App set up. After you get your SmartByte and instructions for use, your personal coach will contact you to set up your sessions at your preffered time each week.

No. Your health insurance does not cover SmartByte. Like other FDA approved weight control pills and devices for patients who are not morbidly obese ( BMI> 35) insurance prefers to pay for health issues caused by excess weight instead of intervening early to prevent them. However, SmartByte is charged to your credit card so you can pay it down monthly to your own schedule. Also, SmartByte is an eligible expense for your Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account
